We are challenging our supporters to join us on a 10-kilometre walking challenge from Kingston Bridge to Hampton Court and back, to raise crucial funds for children with disabilities in Africa (part of our 40th Anniversary Challenge Series)

Story

Órla Bean is going to 'walk'/ have a piggy back/ go on shoulders for 10k for Able Child's charity walk in two weeks.

Whilst this may not seem very far - is going to feel *very* far for Sean who, lets be honest, is probably going to carry her the whole way.

We are doing this on behalf of a very important charity called Able Child who works for children with disabilities in Africa.

Please donate whatever you can to make Sean feel better about the fact he's carrying our daughter 10k.

More information about Able Child and their work below...

Nearly 29 million children in Eastern and Southern Africa are living with a disability.

These children are more likely to be living in poverty. They are four times more likely to experience physical violence or sexual assault, and twice as likely to never attend school. They are being forgotten, hidden and left behind.

Able Child exists to change this.

We work towards a world in which no child with a disability is left behind. We support a network of African organisations to protect, educate and amplify the voices of children and young people with disabilities.

Together, we work across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe breaking down barriers to inclusion so that children with disabilities are able to thrive. Every child has the right to feel safe; the right to an education; and the right to be heard.

Because all children are able.
