I am running the AJ Bell Great North Run Half Marathon on 31st May. I'm raising money in memory of our much loved friend and neighbour, Chris, who received incredible support from the hospice during the final part of his life.

As a charity, they provide free compassionate care for people in North Hampshire who have a life-limiting illness, are facing the end of life or experiencing bereavement. The hospice receives just 22% funding from the NHS, the rest is raised thanks to the generosity and kindness of the community.

I could barely run 2km when I started training, so this has been quite the challenge thus far...
