Story
On Saturday 3rd May, I, along with other members of the Cambridge YFC team and volunteers will be embarking on a 20 mile Cambridge Inequality Triathlon. Consisting of a 7.5 mile walk, 3 mile punt and 10 mile cycle (probably an old, rickety bike that no-one will want to steal).
A many of you will know I am a busy mum of 3 beautiful young children so finding the time to fit regular exercise into my daily routine is pretty much impossible. I thought to myself why not fit a whole years world of exercise into 1 day. Sounds like a challenge for a very good cause and that cause it YOUNG PEOPLE IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE.
Can you help me reach that target?
What we will be doing and why?
Our route will start among the city centre's landmarks and pass through some of the more disadvantaged wards, as we highlight the needs facing todays teenagers. Why? We're aiming to raise £5000 to support our work in creating pathways for young people to fulness of life in Jesus. Follow our progress on social media to meet some of the wonderful people we’re working with, and to hear stories about how young people’s lives are being changed by Jesus. It’s all part of United for Change, as staff from local centres and our national team create a 30 hour extravaganza to share the vision for their ground-breaking ministry. Find out more and sponsor our efforts at cambridgeyfc.uk/unitedforchange - or donate here.
Money raised up to and over the target amount, to be used for Cambridge & District Youth for Christ's general charitable activities.
