26.2 Miles for St Richards Hospice - The London Marathon

Laurence Bourne is raising money for St Richard's Hospice Foundation

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

The London Marathon is a world-famous annual road race, famous for its iconic 26.2-mile route through London's landmarks.

Story

I’m Laurence & I’m from Worcester. As I’ve moved into my 30s, I’ve grown to really appreciate what Worcester has to offer and if you’re local, you’ll almost certainly have heard of or known someone who’s been touched by the work of St Richard’s Hospice.

In the past, a few members of my family have had to utilise the care offered from this charity. But St Richard’s has always been there. They provided outstanding care and support to both my aunt and my nan. No request was too much & the care the provided was so important to ensure their comfort.

For that, myself & my family will always be incredibly grateful

I’ve been running on and off for around five years. By the time the London Marathon comes around, I’ll have completed four half marathons – but this will be my first full marathon. It’s likely to be one of the toughest things I’ve ever taken on, and I want it to count for more than just personal achievement.

My goal is to raise £2,500 for St Richard’s Hospice.

Every penny, every visit to my page, and every share on social media makes a huge difference.

Thanks for reading, and for supporting such an incredible cause.
