Story
26th of January 2025 marks the 10-year anniversary of the death of our beautiful, creative, loving and incredibly brave daughter, Zoe, who, having fought a cruel complex mental illness since the age of 13, took her own life. She was only 19 when she died, leaving an unimaginable void in our lives. There isn’t a day that goes by when we don’t think of her, we love her now as much as we ever did and will forever more.
To mark this anniversary, I wanted to take time to reflect and undertake a physical challenge to raise money in Zoe’s name. In early March 2025, I’ll be trekking for up to 7 hours a day for 4 days across the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Both my brothers, Marc and Gary, have decided to join me for which I will be eternally grateful.
This page is dedicated to Zoe’s memory, and to everyone who has struggled, often in silence, with mental illness. Thank you for making a difference to the lives of others. Please support us in donating to one, or both, of our two chosen charities, JAMI and Young Minds (100% of donations will be passed on).
Thank you
Laurence
Jami is there for young people and adults in the Jewish Community whose mental illness and distress makes everyday life a struggle, guiding them through their mental health recovery, supporting families and carers and educating community leaders to build collective resilience. https://jamiuk.org/
