Story
In 2021, we lost my brother Shaun at just 29 years old. His passing has left a gap that will never be filled, we all miss him so much.
Shaun loved the time he spent exploring in the Highlands so it feels only right to honour him with something he would’ve loved.
From May 2025, I will be climbing a Munro (A mountain with an elevation of 3000ft or more) every month for a year, finishing with Ben Nevis in May 2026 - five years since we lost him. It will definitely be a challenge, but I’m sure he’ll be with me every step of the way.
I haven’t named the Munros we’ll be climbing from May to April yet — the weather will play a big part, so we’ll choose each one closer to the time to make sure it’s safe to do so.
I’ll be posting updates along the way so you can follow the journey and see what we’ve completed month by month.
I’m raising money for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) — a charity that works to prevent sudden cardiac deaths in young people. They offer support to families, provide vital information, and deliver cardiac screening across the UK.
If you would like to support me, whether that’s through a donation, a share or even joining me for one of the climbs - your support means the world.
