Story
I was a Girl Scout (check out the picture of me from about hundred years ago proudly wearing my Brownie uniform)—and while I never mastered the art of a perfect campfire, I did pick up some pretty important stuff: confidence, courage, lifelong friends, and the ability to sell cookies like a pro.
Here in Connecticut, 1 in 5 young people report feeling disconnected from their peers. Girls, in particular, are hit hardest by the pressures of social media, mental health struggles, feelings of isolation and just trying to fit in. Girl Scouts gives them something real: a place to belong, lead, laugh, and grow. Today’s girls are facing challenges we never imagined.
Now imagine being a girl who needs all the magic of Girl Scouts—adventure, sisterhood, life skills—but can’t access it because of financial barriers. That’s just not okay.
What can you do? I’m asking you to help make sure every girl who wants to be a Girl Scout gets the chance with a gift of any size. Your gift today, allows GSOFCT to help sustain our mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the work a better place.
Give today and feel great knowing you’ve locked in your support and are helping our future leaders. Thank you!
