Story
On May 17th I'll be lacing up my boots to walk 100KM in 24 hours for my nan who died suddenly of Leukaemia in 2018. Although time has propelled me forward I still continue to miss her love, warm energy and (let's be honest) her knock out crumble every day! Having a challenge like this keeps her at the forefront of my mind and in my heart – no matter how fast time keeps moving. Cancer is cruel and it's a far too familiar story across so many families – not just mine.
This isn't the first time I've walked over 100KM for Rita. But this time I'm setting a challenge of smashing this ultra within 24 hours. Walking tirelessly through the night over some seriously gruelling hills along the Jurassic coast – this will be the hardest mental and physical challenge yet!
If you can spare a penny or a pound I'd be eternally grateful. As will my toenails when they find out what I'm setting them up for again!
For Rita, I'll love you forever and you are worth loosing my toenails for over and over again x
