⭐Layla Takes the Leap for Cornerstone Scottish Borders — With Danny Cheering Her On!
On 14 August 2026, something amazing is happening at Strathclyde Country Park. Layla Anderson will be stepping off the platform and flying down the Strathclyde ZipSlide to raise funds for the Cornerstone Scottish Borders Connects Hub.
She’s taking on this challenge to support a place that means so much to so many — and she’s doing it while conquering her own fear of heights.
And she’s not doing it alone. Right beside her (on the ground!) will be Danny Lindoors — a much loved regular at the Hub, known for his huge heart, his loyalty, and his legendary backstage adventures with Callum Beattie. When Layla asked if he’d support her, Danny lit up and said:
“Layla is always in with my heart. I got you and you got me — fundraising buddies!”
That’s the spirit of the Connects Hub. Community. Friendship. Courage. Belonging.
🌟 Why We’re Fundraising
The Connects Hub is more than a service — it’s a vibrant, inclusive community offering:
• Breakfast clubs, day sessions, evening clubs & weekend activities
• Sensory, therapeutic, creative & tech spaces
• A training kitchen, physio room, activity room & sensory garden
• Regular NHS Borders professional input
• Monthly Tea & Chatter events
• Fortnightly Door Open Days
• Support that promotes independence, wellbeing & meaningful experiences
Funds raised will help us expand opportunities, create new experiences, and continue developing the Hub for people across the Scottish Borders.
💛 Support Layla. Support the Hub. Support our community.
