Story

Hello everyone,

On 18th May 2025, seven graduates on the Corporate Banking and Markets graduate scheme will be running the Hackney Half Marathon as LBG Runners in aid of Crisis UK.

Crisis UK has been operating since 1967 and is a long-standing national charity partner of Lloyds. Their work has helped thousands of people experiencing homelessness across the UK, by providing support to those who are homeless through providing food and shelter, offering year-round education, employment, housing, healthcare and well-being services through their Crisis Skylight Centres, conducting research and advocating for change in housing rights.

Many of us are directly impacted in one way another by the degradation of general accommodation availability, affordability and quality in the UK and we are certainly all indirectly impacted by homelessness and housing issues.

Crisis have a very simple mission: to end homelessness for good. Therefore, they do not stop at providing instant relief - they work with individuals to rebuild their lives through services such as job training and mental health support.

How your donations will make an impact:

£5 could help provide someone with long-term, tailored support to leave homelessness behind for good.

£10 could help fund one of Crisis's support workers to assist someone in managing their expenses and settling into their new home.

£15 could provide one-to-one support in finding a secure place to live, ensuring they leave homelessness for good.

Every contribution, no matter how small, helps Crisis UK continue their vital work. Lloyds will also be matching donations of up to £500.

We welcome you to join us in supporting Crisis UK and making a lasting impact on the lives of those in need.

Thank you,

Emma, Leah, Phi, Jess, Liv, Casper & Bella
