The LCC Big Bike Ride! I'm cycling from Durham to Bath via every Test Cricket Ground in England in just 4 days - all for fantastic local charities · 27 May 2025

RUHX (formerly The Forever Friends Appeal) is the official NHS charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath. We’re here to make our place healthier, happier and stronger for the future. And we do that by supporting the extra extraordinary work that leads to exceptional care for everyone.

Story

As part of Lansdown Cricket Club's Bicentenary Celebrations, they've set the challenge to raise £200,000 for their 200 years of history - all for amazing local charities.

I'm joining 17 other members to take on a MASSIVE cycle ride from Durham to Bath via every test cricket ground in England - that 850kms in just four days - all for amazing local charities. These are primarily RUHX, The official Charity of The Royal United Hospital, Dorothy House Hospice Care, Bath Gateway out and About and The Ruth Strauss Foundation.

My cycling credentials to date is a daily commute totalling 15 kms, so this challenge is off the scale requiring us to cycle over 200kms for each of the 4 days. I have never attempted any endurance sport like this so I will be enormously grateful for any donation. It will mean everything to us to raise money for these fantastic charities.

Please give generously and share this page! Thank you.

* Note - due to the way Just Giving works, my sponsorship page is set to raise funds for Dorothy House. The beneficiaries for each rider reflects the full roster of primary beneficiaries - Dorothy House Hospice Care and RUHX, The Official Charity of Bath's Royal United Hospital, Bath Gateway out and About and The Ruth Strauss Foundation.
