Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page supporting the MND Association.
As many of you may know, my lovely, funny, little bit loopy Father in law, Rob Dart passed away from MND in October 2023 after a courageous 6 year battle.
Rob was a fighter, and never showed any weakness against this awful disease, but unfortunately we witnessed first hand what MND does to even the strongest of people.
The MND association supported our family throughout these difficult years, providing both practical and emotional support. Our family want to continue support the association as a small way of thanking them for everything they have ever done for us, and will continue to do for others.
In order to do this, I will be running, (or plodding depending on how realistic you are) the 2026 London Marathon! I am in no way a natural runner - and I am starting this process as of much as a beginner as you can probably be - but I will cross that finish line whatever it takes, to raise vital funds for this special charity and to make Rob proud. (I know this will give him a good laugh at my expense, but he also had total blind faith in anything I ever chose to do, so I know he's routing for me too ♥️)
Thank you for reading so far, and if you are able to donate, please know your hard earned money is going to an INCREDIBLE cause. Hopefully together, one day we can find a cure for this awful disease.
Love you, and missing you always Robert ♥️
