Story
Every step we take at the Liverpool Memory Walk 2026 on 12 September 2026 is a step towards hope and change. Dementia remains the UK’s biggest killer, with someone developing it every three minutes, and sadly, there is still no cure. This reality touches the lives of over one million people across the UK who are currently living with dementia, as well as their families and carers.
We owe it to them to confront this immense health and social care challenge with courage and compassion. By joining the Memory Walk 2026 or supporting someone who is taking part, you become a vital part of a movement campaigning for change while providing essential day-to-day support to those affected.
Your generosity matters. Every donation you make through JustGiving goes directly to Alzheimer’s Society, ensuring your support reaches those who need it most efficiently and effectively. Our target is to raise £175 — every pound brings us closer to a future where dementia no longer steals memories or lives.
So today, I ask you: Who will you walk for? Together, let’s walk with gratitude in our hearts, inspiration in our steps, and empathy for all touched by dementia. Join us in making a difference.
