Story
In April 2027, I’ll be taking on the Manchester Marathon in memory of my dad, after losing him to cancer, while raising money for Trinity Hospice.
I was originally supposed to run the 2026 marathon for The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, but after picking up an injury, I had to postpone my place until 2027. Although it was disappointing at the time, it’s given me even more motivation to come back stronger and complete this challenge for a cause that means so much to me and my family.
Watching someone you love go through cancer is heartbreaking, and Trinity Hospice provided incredible care, compassion, and support during one of the hardest times of our lives. The work they do for people receiving end of life care, as well as the support they give to families around them, is truly invaluable — and charities like Trinity Hospice rely heavily on fundraising to continue providing that care.
Training for a marathon with very little running experience is going to be a huge challenge both physically and mentally, but knowing why I’m doing it will keep me going through every mile.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help Trinity Hospice continue supporting families facing incredibly difficult times.
Thank you so much for supporting me, remembering my dad with me, and helping such an important charity continue the amazing work they do every day.
