Story
We are skydiving for PASIC, a truly special charity that supports children and families facing childhood cancer. PASIC creates moments of joy in the darkest of times — organising days out, giving vouchers, throwing parties, and surprising children with little bits of happiness when they need it most.
Just over a year ago, our world changed when my daughter Freya was diagnosed with lymphoblastic lymphoma. Nothing prepares you for hearing the word cancer, especially when it’s your child. The journey since then has been full of fear, uncertainty, and heartbreak — but also strength we never knew existed.
During this time, PASIC has been there for us when it mattered most. They didn’t just offer support — they brought genuine care, kindness, and smiles when everything felt overwhelming. They have given Freya moments of happiness during the hardest year of her life, and for that we will forever be grateful.
Taking on this skydive will be myself, Beth (Freya’s auntie), Tracy (Freya’s T-mar), and Leah (Freya’s second cousin, Auntie Leah). This is a huge challenge for all of us, and truthfully, we are all terrified. But we keep reminding ourselves of one thing: if Freya can face everything she has been through over the last year with such bravery, then we can face a few minutes of fear.
When we saw PASIC had organised this fundraiser, there was never any question — this is the charity we wanted to do it for.
We would be so grateful for any donation, no matter how small. Your support helps bring light, comfort, and happiness to children and families living through their hardest days. This skydive is our way of giving back to a charity that has helped carry us through ours. Without PASIC, this journey would have been even lonelier and more painful than it already is.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support 💛
