Story

My mother had pre-eclampsia during her pregnancy with me, this resulted in me being born three months premature weighing just 1lb 12oz. My mother’s condition quickly deteriorated after my birth and progressed from pre-eclampsia to HELLP syndrome which was fatal for her. This personal experience has fuelled my passion for raising awareness about this condition and supporting those affected by it.

Action on Pre-Eclampsia (APEC) is an incredible charity dedicated to educating both the public and health professionals about pre-eclampsia. Their work is vital in saving lives and providing support to mothers and infants facing this challenge. The London Marathon on April 26, 2026, serves as APEC’s main fundraising event of the year. With your donations, we can help APEC continue their essential work.

I am proud to be running for APEC in this marathon, carrying with me the memory of all the mothers and infants lost to and affected by pre-eclampsia. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that no mother or infant has to face this alone.
