Money donated to The Cove fund is for the benefit of patients, volunteers and staff who visit and work in The Cove. We can purchase additional items to make patient and visitors more comfortable,

- Cushions because patients wanted some additional support and comfort whilst in the waiting area and during appointments.

- A highchair because parents of young children whose mums or dads are having treatment bring the children in to the Centre to be away from the business of a clinical setting.

- Treadmill and exercise equipment for the new Physiotherapy Service to help keep patients active and build their strength and fitness both during and after treatment.

- Electric fans to ensure the comfort of patients during hot weather or for those who may be experiencing hot flushes due to hormonal treatments.

In addition, it enables staff and volunteers to attend specialist courses in order to keep up to date with current practice and extend their existing skills.

The Cove has played a very important role in people close to us, experiencing it first hand. We are passionate about raising money for the Centre as it continues to support us personally and many others. From the patient, to family and loved ones the services offered are vital in the Cancer journey. We will always be thankful to all the staff & volunteers always on hand to help with that supporting chat, to support groups, speaking to Macmillan nurses and helping with appointments etc. Thank You!
