Story
In honour of Katie's love and passion for her school and all of her pupils, we are asking for donations to buy new equipment for the Rebound (Trampoline) Therapy Sessions that Katie loved facilitating at her school.
Rebound Therapy is used to facilitate movement, promote balance, promote an increase or decrease in muscle tone, promote relaxation, promote sensory integration, improve fitness and exercise tolerance, and to improve communication skills. It is popular in special needs schools and is becoming increasingly popular in mainstream schools with a special needs unit; partly because the trampoline is a piece of apparatus that virtually all people, regardless of their abilities, can access, benefit from and enjoy.
Katie led the rebound therapy offer to the children at Corbets Tey School with enthusiasm and passion meaning that not only the children in her class benefited but also others across the school.
We are asking for donations instead of flowers as this was a cause that Katie would be so grateful and proud that everyone is supporting.
She loved her school community and all the children that she taught over the years and so we would like to honour her memory by leaving a legacy that was important to her.
Here is a link to her school which she taught at for many years https://www.corbetsteyschool.org.uk/
Many thanks in advance on behalf of Katie and all her family
