Story

I'm running the Purbeck Trail Marathon on 20 Sept as the only way I know how to help to raise funds for the Red Cross on the ground in Nepal.

Hundreds of people including children are missing, many are dead and communities have been devastated after sudden flash floods struck Nepal's Rasuwa district, as well as parts of Tibet. The flooding, caused by a surge of water entering the Bhote Koshi River from Tibet, swept through villages with little warning.

Families have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods in a matter of hours. Many people have been forced from their homes and are facing an uncertain future as search and rescue efforts continue.

The priority now is saving lives and providing urgent aid. As this emergency unfolds, early action will be vital to ensure people receive the support they urgently need.
