Hello one and all, sorry I haven't been active lately. I hope all GENT'S have made a visit to their GP'S to book the blood test and had positive results x.
As we all know us men don't always get signs it can be a silent killer. I would like to give you an update on my situation (health) .
I finished my chemotherapy 2 months ago which was a relief had a good 2 weeks , but sadly things took a turn with serious pains that made a grown man cry 😢.
So a vist to the Dr's after the Dr at Brecon Hospital had issued antibiotics which didn't do anything.
The pain when urinating can only be described as have a hot poker inserted and left there not comfortable at all, so my consultant, who has been brilliant and can't thank her enough, prescribed stronger antibiotics, which took effect over a couple of days or so. But sadly the pain did not subside and therefore my consultant requested an MRI scan which took place at Hereford County Hospital, the result came back and initially all seemed to be OK, but sadly a second look showed the cancer in that area had grown 😢
So now on more medication to mask the pain as this is real and will not be going away 😢. I was sent to Cheltenham for a CT scan to get a better picture of what's going on then the following day had an intense blast of radiotherapy to try and keep the cancer at bay...this at present seems to have worked as the last 5 days have been more comfortable with the management of drugs I'm on.
My PSA level has also risen, climbing from 59 to 80 . Originally at it highest 739.
PSA levels needs to be 4 or below to be on the safe side .
So all in all it's not been the best 6 weeks . I would like to thank all my friends and family that have give up their time to show their support ❤️. Also would like to thank my rock Dee as she has had to put up with a lot of moaning and groaning on this unwanted journey. I would also like to thank all those for words of encouragement whether it's via social media or passing in the street. You will never know how much it truly means.
So Gents to avoid this happening to you please please 🙏 get yourselves sorted.
YNWA ♥️ xx
