Story
21 years ago I was pregnant with my first born son. Being 17 years old, I was scared but excited to be bringing a beautiful life into the world, someone to call me mum. Around 31 weeks pregnant his growth slowed down and by 33 weeks I'd stopped feeling him move. The hospital confirmed the worst, my baby boy had died.
On 3rd June 2004 my beautiful baby boy Liam was born sleeping. I was lost, utterly devastated. Following a gruelling wait to hear the post mortem results, I found out I had a genetic disorder, Factor V Leiden (FVL) which caused abnormal clots to develop on Liam's placenta and so he was malnourished. During this difficult time, Sands supported me immensely through grief support and counselling and I am forever indebted to them for their support and guidance to help me through one of the most darkest periods of my life.
So, in honour of Liam and Sands, I am doing a skydive to raise vital funds to help support other bereaved families. Please share this journey with me by helping to raise as much as possible. However much or little you can afford, it goes a long way to support this amazing charity, so please donate what you can.
