Myself and Nadine are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to support Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity.

Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity is dedicated to enhancing care for patients and their loved ones at Priscilla Bacon Lodge. One of the services funded by the Charity is Complementary Therapy, which is used alongside medical treatment to support relaxation, wellbeing and comfort. Treatments include light-touch massage, reflexology, reiki and aromatherapy.

By taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge, teams from M+A and Leathes Prior are aiming to raise funds to support Complementary Therapy sessions at Priscilla Bacon Lodge.

From 4th–6th September 2026, we will take on one of the UK’s most iconic trekking adventures: the National Three Peaks Challenge. Over one unforgettable weekend, we will climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).

Our challenge begins in Fort William with the ascent of Ben Nevis. We will then travel to the Lake District to climb Scafell Pike by night, before heading to Wales for our final climb: Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).

The aim is to complete the three peaks in a target trekking time of 15 hours or less, equivalent to the standard 24-hour Three Peaks format. Across the challenge, we will climb approximately 9,500 feet and walk around 22 miles.

This will be a demanding physical and mental challenge, but one we are proud to take on in support of patients and families cared for at Priscilla Bacon Lodge.

The Three Peaks Challenge is organised by Global Adventure Challenges. Each participant has committed to raise a minimum sponsorship amount of £950. Under this model, up to half of each participant’s minimum sponsorship may be used by the Charity to cover the cost of their challenge place, with the remaining sponsorship retained by Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity.

Anything we raise above the minimum sponsorship target will also support the Charity’s work, helping to enhance care for patients and their loved ones at Priscilla Bacon Lodge.
