Kilimanjaro Trek for Mental Health Foundation 2026

Lee Bonington is raising money for Mental Health Foundation

Kilimanjaro Trek · 1 September 2026

The Mental Health Foundation believe no-one living in the UK should be deprived of the opportunity for good mental health because of who they are, the community they come from or where they live. We’re developing better ways to support good mental health in every community.

Story

"Climbing Kilimanjaro for Mental Health Awareness"

In October 2026 I’ve decided to take on one of the greatest challenges of my life: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. At 5,895 meters, it’s not just a physical journey but an emotional and mental one—a fitting parallel to the struggles many face with mental health every day.

I’m undertaking this adventure in support of the Mental Health Foundation, a cause incredibly close to my heart. Mental health issues affect millions, yet stigma and lack of resources still prevent too many from getting the help they need. Together, we can change that.

Your support means the world to me—not just as motivation for every step up that mountain, but as a tangible way to make a difference. Whether it’s providing resources, raising awareness, or advocating for change, every donation brings us closer to a world where no one has to face their mental health challenges alone.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Together, we’re reaching new heights for mental health.
