Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have set myself this 30 mile running challenge to raise money for Pendleside Hospice. I am running in memory of my mother-in-law, Joan Rawstrone, who was cared for at home by the staff at Pendleside Hospice prior to her passing in November 2022.

The staff at Pendleside Hospice provide vital and person-centred care to patients and support to the family at a very sad time. My wife, Vanessa, and me were truly grateful for the support and time they provided at a very difficult time for our family.

We will be forever grateful to them for what they provided, and I am hoping the funds I raise from my run will enable other patients and families to receive the compassionate care their staff provide.
