Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Since lockdown I decided to take up running as a hobby, and since doing so I have always had the desire to run the London Marathon, but the only way I wanted to do it was for Pendleside Hospice.
I have tried multiple ways to obtain a place in the marathon and at Christmas I got the call directly from Pendleside Hospice; a Golden Ballot place had become available.
This has given me 15 weeks, to get myself into some form of shape to enable me to complete this race. This is far from an ideal frame time, but it is achievable.
For those who are not aware of this charity, Pendleside exists to promote and enhance quality of life for people with life-limiting illnesses, every single penny goes into the mechanics of making this charity function on a day to day basis.
For those who are from Burnley and the surrounding area, are well aware of what this charity does and no doubt will have a special place in their heart for the work that Pendleside do.
I have a target of £2500 to hit, I am hoping that donations from my friends, family, work colleagues and associates will enable me to hit this target and hopefully surpass it.
