The Eye Christmas Lights Tractor Run is a community-led charity event that brings together local farmers, families, businesses and supporters to celebrate the festive season while raising vital funds for charities that make a difference to people not only in our area but all over the uk.

Each year, farmers from across the local villages decorate their tractors with spectacular Christmas lights and festive displays, creating a magical parade that spreads Christmas cheer to people of all ages. The event provides an opportunity for the farming community to come together, showcase their creativity and support causes that are close to many hearts.

This event is more than just a tractor run, this event is about community spirit, generosity and bringing joy to the streets during the festive season. Every donation helps support deserving charities, ensuring that the magic of Christmas reaches those who need it most.

This year we are supporting another amazing farming charity FCN (farming community network) which raises mental health awareness and supports those in need working in agriculture and rural businesses in East Anglia.

Our secondary charity to support is Cancer Research UK the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research. It funds thousands of scientists, doctors and nurses to find new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer. This charity has been chosen by one of our volunteers Nathan Lister who turned a Citroen Picasso into the big pink PIGasso which back in May 2024 was taken on a road trip around the UK travelling nearly 2.5 thousand miles and raising approx. £12,500. This year Nathan will be bringing the famous Pigasso on the Tractor run to raise more money and awareness for Cancer Research UK.

2026 will mark the third year of the Eye Christmas Lights Tractor Run. Since its launch, the event has grown significantly, with approximately 35 tractors taking part in 2024 and around 80 in 2025. For 2026, we’re aiming to reach an incredible milestone of 100 tractors lighting up the route. We’ll also be expanding our promotion and coverage across Facebook, Instagram, radio, YouTube and other media channels. One of the most remarkable things about the Eye Christmas Lights Tractor Run is the incredible team of volunteers who make it all possible. While the illuminated tractors and festive atmosphere are what people see on the night, countless hours of hard work take place behind the scenes throughout the year. Planning for the next event begins almost as soon as the previous one ends, with volunteers dedicating their time from January onwards to organise every aspect of the run. From managing storage, coordinating traffic control and marshals, handling tractor registrations, maintaining social media, distributing leaflets, securing sponsorships and much more, their commitment is truly outstanding. Without their dedication, enthusiasm and community spirit, this event simply would not be possible. The Eye Christmas Lights Tractor Run is a testament to what can be achieved when volunteers come together to create something special for the benefit of others.
