Dr Lee Pursglove Runs for The Children's Trust TCS London Marathon 2025

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
It is an honour and a privilege to be running my first Marathon for The Children's Trust in 2025.
I remember vividly from high school the devastating impact a brain injury can have on a friend! So much life and potential snatched away because of a devastating car versus bicycle crash! The Children's trust has done more than any other charity in this regard to rebuild the lives of families.
Since my time at High School I have chosen to work with adults with learning disabilities at the Wilf Ward Family Trust and have dedicated my life to proving GP services to the Northumberland area, which has a high prevalence of acquired brain injury.
Every year 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury as a result of an accident or illness, with many not able to access the support they need.
The Children's Trust aim is to reach and support more children with brain injury to give them the best life possible. Donations will help The Children's Trust with their goal, allowing the Trust to provide specialist rehabilitation, education and community services across the UK.
