Story

I am privileged to have been given the opportunity to run the 2026 London marathon in honour of my late brother Jamie who sadly lost his battle with cancer last year. I will be raising funds for MacMillan cancer support - a charity who offered so much support to Jamie and his family over his devastating illness. Jamie was diagnosed in January 2020 and courageously endured chemotherapy, radiotherapy and major surgeries while bringing up his 2 boys. The Macmillan team provided knowledge, care, compassion and aided with physical and emotional support. A service so valuable during diagnosis, treatment and beyond. I have began running over the last year in order to aid my grief and it has helped me hugely. Having a focus to run a marathon for Jamie has given me guidance and discipline but mainly just allows me to get out and clear my head. The minimum amount to raise through the charity place is £2750 therefore any donation will be gratefully received. Jamie was the bravest and strongest man I have ever known and it’s an honour to raise money and further awareness for such an amazing charity that can help others in the future. Forever missed 💚
