London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Running a marathon is an enormous personal achievement. Our London Marathon charity runners not only complete one of the most famous races in the world, but also raise vital funds to support some of the UK's most vulnerable children and young people.

Story

After conquering the incredible Brathay 10in10 in 2023—a grueling 262-mile journey over 10 days—I found myself searching for the next big challenge. Well, I’ve found it. This time, I’m trading in the multi-day marathon for a single, intense race. Just 26.2 miles in one go. Sounds easier, right? Think again.

My new goal? To join the elite sub-3 hour marathon club. It might seem achievable at first glance—after all, many people do it these days—but for me, it's anything but straightforward. My personal best marathon time is 3:35, and that was over a decade ago. Chasing sub-3 has been a lifelong ambition, and at 43, it’s going to be every bit as challenging as the 10in10.

Will these legs still have what it takes? I’m determined to find out. And once again, I’ll be doing it for a cause close to my heart: the Brathay Trust.

The Brathay Trust is dedicated to improving the lives of young people, helping them build resilience and develop life skills through outdoor education and community initiatives. Their work has a profound impact on countless lives, and I’m proud to support them.

Your donation, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in supporting their mission.

Thank you for your support, and wish me luck on this next adventure!

Happy running!
