Our Fundraiser for Wheels for All

Lee Rochester is raising money for Wheels for All

Cycling · 15 August 2026

Wheels for All is the national inclusive cycling charity providing cycling opportunities for disabled adults and children. Through local hubs, adapted cycles and community programmes, we help people of all ages and abilities experience the joy, freedom and health benefits of cycling.

Story

Me and my son are taking on a cycling challenge of at least 122 miles to raise money for Wheels for All.

Wheels for All operates a large network of community centres across the UK, providing specially adapted cycles, trikes, and trained support leaders for individuals and families

Tomorrow, we’ll be setting off from Newcastle upon Tyne and riding all the way into Scotland, camping, and even wild camping, along the way.

This is a very last‑minute challenge, and we honestly don’t expect to raise much, but anything you’re able to give would mean a lot to us. Cycling is something we both love. It brings us joy, freedom, and time together, and we want to help make it accessible to everyone, no matter their additional needs. Wheels for All does incredible work to make inclusive cycling possible, and we’re proud to support them.

Our route will take us through some of Northumberland’s most beautiful landscapes. The plan is:

Night one — camp in Northumberland Day two — reach Scotland and wild camp Day three — return to Northumberland for one more night before heading home

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can offer.

Quick update. We completed the challenge and cycled 129.65 miles in total. What a great experience and a fantastic challenge. Big thanks to everyone who has donated so far.
