*IGNORE THE EVENT ITS INCORRECT, EVENTS ARE BRIGHTON AND LONDON MARATHON NOT 10k*
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page,
Over 3 years ago my dad was diagnosed with incurable stage 4 prostate cancer and has been battling its many dark faces since. It is a disease that affects those with it and anyone close to it horribly and the research done to battle this is invaluable. I decided to run the Brighton marathon and raise money for this cause, and then with less than 2 months notice I was offered a spot in the London Marathon too. My target for the two races is a combined £2400 (£400 & £2000) and just after hitting my Brighton target I’m now excited to hit the London target
Prostate cancer affects many people, directly and many more indirectly. Prostate Cancer UK has helped my dad during this time and continue to do so, and they also help those indirectly affected by Cancer too. Watching a loved one go through something and being helpless is a tough situation to process. My career is one that involves a large amount of isolation and without these charities it can be extremely difficult for everyone affected. By raising money I feel I can give back in a situation where I don’t feel I can do much else
I am asking for anything you can contribute to this cause and I will be extremely grateful for any donation no matter the size.
I will be training over the winter months to ensure I can complete the marathon and in good spirits and donations would no doubt help keep me keen, motivated and warm over this time.
Thank you again for taking the time to read this, if any of the above has directly affected you I’m more than happy to talk. Any sharing of this page would also be very helpful.
