Story

Hello, my name is Lee, and I am thrilled to have the honour of representing St Luke’s Hospice in the London Marathon 2025.

My running journey began in September 2023 when I joined Corringham Run Club. Since then, I’ve met many inspiring people with incredible stories about their running experiences. Among them were a few participants of the London Marathon 2024, and their stories resonated deeply with me.

In 2013, we lost my father-in-law to cancer, a battle he faced far too soon. During that difficult time, St Luke’s Hospice provided invaluable support to him and our family, helping us through a profound loss. I promised myself I would raise funds for St Luke’s in his memory, though I never imagined I’d have the chance to actually run on their behalf—until now.

With the encouragement of my family, friends, and the Corringham Run Club, I am confident that I can achieve this goal.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. Any support or donations are greatly appreciated!
