Morecambe Marathon, Half Marathon & 10k   · 29 September 2024

We are a group of local volunteers who respond to 999 calls on behalf of West Midlands Ambulance Service. We rely on funds to keep our responders responding. First Responders are there to arrive on scene to provide initial live-saving treatment before being backed up by an Ambulance Service Resource

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Back in Jan this year I decided to revist my running journey after a 10 year break.

So took the plunge a began couch 2 5k graduating in April and progressed my running from there, joining Fordy Runs Club and upping my distances.

Decided to to enter a 10k race as goal and target to aim for, I chose Morecambe 10k and wanted to run for a charity really close to my heart and one that through work my association goes way back.

The Charity I will be running for is Burntwood & District Community First Responders they are volunteers, who respond to emergency 999 calls for the ambulance service in our local area but not funded by the Ambulance service and rely solely on donations to carry out the service.

I appreciate times are hard at present so will truly appreciate any donation towards my total for the charity who I know will also appreciate.

So all that's left to say is thanks for dropping in and read my plan now to continue then training to be the best I can be race day.
