Story
Tom Hardman sadly lost his life in November 2012, three days before his 21st birthday. Tom was an excellent young cricketer who was an inspirational character during his time playing for Leeds/Bradford UCCE and was set to captain the side in the summer of 2013. As a player, Tommy played for Lancashire 2nd XI and the Combined Universities side, he was a much-loved team mate by all those who played with and coached him.
The current Leeds/Bradford side will be honouring his memory by participating in the annual charity run set up in his name. More details on the run here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/th96-run-2024-tickets-780163900227?aff=oddtdtcreator
All donations will be made to the Tommy Hardman Foundation which supports Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
