Every day across the UK, people receive a life-changing diagnosis of mouth cancer. What can begin as something as small as a persistent ulcer or subtle change in the mouth can quickly progress into a condition that significantly affects speech, eating, appearance, confidence, and overall quality of life. Early detection and awareness are therefore vital in improving outcomes and saving lives.

With generous sponsorship from Bupa, we are raising funds for the Mouth Cancer Foundation. The money raised will go directly towards supporting individuals and families affected by mouth cancer, as well as funding awareness campaigns that encourage earlier diagnosis and better patient outcomes.

To help support this cause, a group of Leeds Dental students will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. This demanding 24-mile route, covering three of Yorkshire’s highest peaks, will push our endurance, resilience, and teamwork as we aim to complete the hike within a single day.
