Story
On 25th April 2027, I'll be taking on the biggest physical challenge of my life – running the TCS London Marathon for Wild Welfare.
I've always been passionate about animal welfare. Over the years I've worked with rescue dogs, helped care for and rehome stray animals, and I've always believed that animals deserve the highest standards of care and protection.
That's why I'm proud to be running as part of the Welfare Warriors team to support Wild Welfare.
Wild Welfare works around the world to improve the lives of captive wild animals by helping zoos, sanctuaries and rescue centres provide better care, welfare standards and living conditions. Their goal is simple: to ensure animals in human care can thrive, not just survive.
For me, this marathon represents a huge personal challenge. I've never run a marathon before, and completing 26.2 miles will push me far beyond my comfort zone. There will be early mornings, long training runs, sore legs and plenty of determination needed along the way.
My fundraising target is £2,000, and every donation will help Wild Welfare continue its vital work improving the lives of captive wild animals around the world.
Whether you can donate big, small or simply share my page, every bit of support means a huge amount.
Thank you
Lee
