🚵♂️ I’m Taking On One of the World’s Most Extreme Mountain Bike Challenges to Raise Money for Keynsham MENCAP 💙
I have decided to compete in the Mega Avalanche, the world’s longest – and one of the most extreme – mass-start downhill mountain bike races. I will race down nearly 2,600m from the Pic Blanc glacier at 3,300m, all the way down to the valley of Allemond. That’s over 20 kilometres of snow, ice, rock, and brutal terrain.
It’s fast;
It’s unpredictable.
And, crashes are guaranteed (especially with my track record).
I’m raising money for Keynsham Mencap — a charity that provides opportunities, friendship and fun for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism.
For my 14-year-old son Henry, who is autistic and non-verbal, Keynsham Mencap has been life-changing. For nearly 10 years, Henry has attended their Super Saturday Club. It’s more than just a club. It’s:
• 💙 A safe place where he is understood
• 💙 A space where he has built friendships
• 💙 Somewhere he can grow in confidence
• 💙 A chance for independence away from me and his Mum
As parents of a child with additional needs, finding a place where Henry is genuinely welcomed, supported and celebrated has been priceless.
The volunteers and staff at Keynsham Mencap are simply incredible. They give their time, their energy and their hearts to families like ours. They’ve become a hugely important part of our lives.
Now it’s my turn to give something back.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help ensure children and adults like Henry continue to have access to friendship, support and joy.
So, as I hurtle down a mountain surrounded by hundreds of other riders… please consider supporting this amazing charity.
If you can donate, thank you.
If you can share this page, thank you.
If you can do both — you’re a legend.
