Story
This 25km walking challenge combines two things I love.... the beautiful South Downs and enabling young people to transform their lives through education.
Raising Futures Kenya, the charity I work for, works with 14-25 year olds in Kenya who are out of education and unemployed, particularly girls and young mothers. Through our Seed of Hope training programme young people gain the skills they need to secure a job or start their own small business, and live above the poverty line. We also provide mental health support to help young people process past traumas and build resilience.
Raising Futures Kenya believes that every young person deserves an opportunity to build a secure, rewarding future for themselves, free from poverty.
Sponsoring me a generous £25 (£1/km) can provide a month of free vocational or business skills training and wrap-around support and hope to a young person in Kenya. But any amount towards my target would be a huge encouragement. Thanks!
