Why Cynthia Spencer?

My Nan, Patricia Newton, Spent her last days at Cynthia Spencer in 2018.

While on holiday in her favourite spot GREAT YARMOUTH, She became ill and was hospitalized. She had to have part of her intestine and colon removed before being allowed home and was told she had around 10 years left. After many weeks in Great Yarmouth Hospital, she was allowed home. Having to travel to Oxford Hospital from Northampton several times a month for the next 7 years.

Early on my Nan had Gastrointestinal Stromal tumors (Gist) Rare cancerous tumors of the colon. After having her surgery she didn't get any better. The Cancer had spread.

Sarcomas, In the early stages, leiomyosarcomas may not cause symptoms, but as the cancer progresses, symptoms may include fatigue, weight loss, vomiting blood, changes in stools, and other stomach problems.

She chose to stay at Cynthia Spencer as she felt it would be easier for my pap and the rest of the family. In her last days, she asked people to donate to Cynthia Spencer other than flowers at her funeral.
