Story
Legacurry Church – Bringing Water, Bringing Hope
Imagine life without access to safe water. For many communities in Ivory Coast, even hospitals go without a clean, regular water supply. Patients are often required to find and bring their own water — a situation almost unimaginable to us.
In February 2026, a team from Legacurry Presbyterian Church — Ben Abraham, Andrew Brown, Jamie Dickson, Richard McAleer, Robert McCullagh and Nathan Reid — will travel with Mark Collier from Friends in Action International to central Ivory Coast to help drill water wells that will transform lives and bring hope.
🌍 Where We’re Going
Our team will be working in the region of Zuenoula, around 3–4 hours northwest of Yamoussoukro, the capital. The likely well sites include:
1. HG Zuenoula General Hospital
2. HG Gohitafla General Hospital
3. Bongofla Village
4. Baptist Church Plant, Zuenoula
Clean water changes everything. A single well can provide safe, reliable drinking water for up to 500 people — improving health, reducing disease, and allowing children to attend school instead of spending hours collecting water. These wells also empower local churches and schools to serve their communities more effectively, creating lasting spiritual and physical impact.
🚴 Upcoming Fundraising Events
We’d love your support as we raise funds for this life-changing work!

• 8th November 2025 – 24-Hour Sponsored Cycle (“Wheels for Wells”)
Our team will take on a full day of cycling, with opportunities for the congregation to join in 30-minute slots.
• 29th November 2025 – Pre-Christmas Tractor Run (Details TBC)
All funds raised will go directly toward the costs of drilling and equipping wells in Ivory Coast.
🙏 Please Pray For:
• The people of Ivory Coast, that these wells would bring hope, health, and opportunity.
• The Friends in Action team as they plan and prepare.
• Our Legacurry team, as we train, raise funds, and prepare to go.
