Story

I'm raising £1,000 for Levelling The Field (LTF) which is a visionary festival trainee programme and roster database for the d/Deaf and Disabled community.

I had the absolute pleasure to have personally been a Mentor for Levelling The Field at Glastonbury Festival in 2025 and know just how vital and incredible there work is.

As an artist with a physical disability i personally understand just how hard it is to exist in the Music industry due to most venues and events still not being accessible for all and thats why i want to support LTF to support them in their truly incredible work.

I have met some truly incredible individuals through the programme and we have all found our people who all share the same passions. It has given me confidence as an artist, as a human being knowing others are trying change the industry so we can all party side by side without limitations. It also provides people with networking opportunities, learning new skills and a professional understanding of the music/live event industry.

LTF offers paid career development opportunities, live festival experience (stage management, artist liaison, event production), wrap-around pastoral care, 1:1 mentoring and British Sign Language training to four trainees.

By placing the voice of d/Deaf and Disabled backstage talent at the centre of the initiative, LTF aims to boldly reflect back to Glastonbury Festival, and the sector as a whole, the true goals needed for levelling up and accessibility.

LTF is delivered by youth development experts Lyrix Organix/Music4Children, hosted by The Common Glastonbury and based at the venue, The Rum Shack.

A dedicated team of festival producers, youth workers, mental health experts and mentors at Rum Shack and The Common support the delivery of Levelling The Field alongside the area production team.

Aims and Objectives

The key objective is to increase the number of disabled people participating in backstage roles in the festival and live event industry.

Future goals

Improve accessibility at The Common, South East Corner and West Holts.

Build a roster of festival producers and create opportunities at multiple festivals and events.

I am a double amputee born with Spinabifada, i use a manual wheelchair fulltime and will be crawling on my hands and knees up Glastonbury Tor Hill on June 26th 2026.
