Story
Every day, housing professionals work to make homes safer, fairer and more affordable. But we all know there’s still so much more to do — and too many people are still without a home. This run is our way of saying: we care, and we’re taking action.
My brother experienced homelessness after being forced from his home due to cuckooing. Without the safety and stability of a secure home, he faced many challenges, and sadly he later lost his life following a drug overdose. Losing my brother was heart-breaking and reinforced just how important safe housing and the right support can be for those facing difficult circumstances.
Working for Southern Housing, I see every day the positive impact that safe, secure housing can have on people's lives. I also see how important it is that support is available for those facing homelessness and housing insecurity. That's why supporting Crisis means so much to me.
Crisis helps people out of homelessness and campaigns for the changes needed to end homelessness altogether. Their work provides practical support, advice, and services to help people rebuild their lives and move towards a secure future.
By supporting our fundraising efforts, you'll be helping Crisis continue their vital work and supporting people who are facing some of the toughest challenges imaginable.
If you're able to donate, no matter how small, I would be incredibly grateful. Every donation makes a difference.
Thank you for supporting me, the Southern Housing team, and Crisis in their mission to end homelessness.
