Story
Hello there – Leigh Anne here
As many of you know, I’ve been concerned about the current state of the courtyard at Stratford General Hospital. This space has the potential to be so much more than it is today. It’s meant to be a place where patients, families, and staff can step outside, breathe deeply, and find a moment of peace during what can be a very stressful time
We all know how powerful nature can be for the soul. Unfortunately, the courtyard currently has accessibility concerns, including tripping hazards, which worry me greatly. Wanting to help make a difference, I reached out to the hospital to share my concerns and learned that plans are underway to revitalize the courtyard in spring 2026.
While the hospital has applied for government funding to support the courtyard revitalization, community support allows the hospital to make an even greater investment in patient spaces and care. Together, these funding sources help strengthen our hospital for everyone who relies on it.
That’s why I’ve partnered with the Stratford General Hospital Foundation to create this personal fundraising page – to help ensure the courtyard is safe, accessible, and welcoming for everyone.
Donations made through this page go directly to the Foundation and will be receipted as charitable donations. These funds will support courtyard improvements that are not covered by the grant, helping bring the full vision for the courtyard to life.
My hope is that, together, we can create a space where anyone – patients, loved ones, or staff – can enjoy a quiet moment, fresh air, and a welcome breath during their healthcare journey.
Thank you for considering supporting this meaningful cause.
With gratitude,
Leigh Anne
