I am running the St Clare's Hospice 10k in memory of Allison Pilbeam who was a colleague and also teacher of mine. Sadly she lost her battle with cancer last year. I will be running with other colleagues to raise money for St Clare's Hospice who looked after Allison during her illness. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Alternatively if you fancy a 10k run, knew Allison, were taught by her or know her son or daughter why not sign up yourself and raise your own money so together we can raise even more towards a worthy cause.

To those of you who know me well, you will know while I try to keep fairly fit I hate running. When agreeing to this I wasn't even sure I could run 10k. But as Allison said "Wake up…you can be and do what you want…it’s all about MINDSET" so I woke up, faffed around for a few hours (maybe 6 hours) and I forced myself to carry out a tester 10k to make sure I make it across the line, with the right mindset I can confirm I ran 10k, your donation will be safe, the run will be completed.
