Story
This year, I am proud to be running the Great North Run for Bliss, the charity that supports babies born premature or sick, and their families.
In 2023, I gave birth to our beautiful baby boy, Finley. What should have been the happiest time of our lives changed in an instant. Within just an hour and a half of being new parents, our world turned upside down.
Despite being on CPAP, at just 30 hours old, he had to be intubated and transferred to a specialist Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It was there we found out he had sepsis and congenital pneumonia.
Two years later, we have the healthiest, most resilient little boy, and we are forever grateful to both hospitals and staff for the outstanding care Finley and we received.
Running the GNR for Bliss is my way of giving back — to support other families facing the unimaginable and to ensure more babies like Finley get the best possible start in life.
If you can, please donate — every penny makes a difference. Thank you so much for your support. 💙
