Story
In 2022 my daughter, Effie, was diagnosed with a high grade glioma tumour in her spinal cord. She was 4 1/2 months old. After 2 major spinal surgeries and a year of intensive chemotherapy, Effie is doing well. I raised money for the Grand Appeal in 2023 after all the amazing care Effie received at Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Effie will always be an outpatient at the hospital as she requires multiple MRIs a year to monitor the residual tumour. So I’d like to continue to raise money to support the hospital that cares for my daughter and so many children like her.
So, in November 2025 I’ll be trekking and rafting 100k through the Colombian jungle in aid of The Grand Appeal, the charity that supports Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Please give what ever you can spare. The money raised really makes a difference in the running of the children’s hospital and the quality of care they can provide the children and parents that have been dealt a really difficult hand.
