Story
This challenge will be undertaken by four serving soldiers from the 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery.
In May 2026, we will attempt an extraordinary endurance challenge, a non-stop relay run from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Running continuously as a team, one of us will be on the move at all times across the length of the United Kingdom.
To make the challenge even tougher, we have added the Three Peaks to the route, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon along the way. With these added ascents, the total distance will exceed 900 miles.
For the entire 900-mile journey, our team will not stop running. Day and night, in relay format, one of us will always be on the road while the others recover, navigate and prepare for the next leg.
Over the next two months we will be planning routes, preparing physically and mentally, and gathering the equipment and support required to successfully complete this challenge.
We are taking on this challenge to raise funds for a charity that is very close to our hearts - the Airborne Gunners Trust.
The Airborne Gunners Trust exists to enhance the support and wellbeing of serving soldiers, veterans, their families, and where possible the wider community connected to the regiment. The Trust is a registered charity, managed in the trustees’ own time by serving personnel alongside their full-time duties.
Importantly, 100% of the money donated goes directly into the charity, supporting its mission and the people it serves.
