Story
On May 23rd, 2026, we – Ryan and Sam – will set off on an epic cycling challenge: riding from Land’s End to John o’ Groats, covering nearly 1,000 miles over 14 days. It’s one of the UK’s most iconic endurance routes, stretching from the southern tip of England to the northernmost point of Scotland.
While the adventure is a big part of it, we’re doing it for something much more meaningful than that.
In 2024, Sam’s partner’s mum, Kasia, was diagnosed with myeloma – an incurable blood cancer. Despite the diagnosis, she has shown incredible strength and resilience, and this challenge is our way of standing with her and supporting the fight against this disease.
We’ve chosen to raise money for Myeloma UK, the only organisation in the UK dedicated to the myeloma community. They provide support to patients and families like Kasia’s and fund crucial research to improve treatment and, one day, find a cure.
We’re at very different stages in our cycling journey, Ryan is a fairly keen cyclist, while Sam is completely new to it. But we’ve both just invested in new bikes and committed ourselves to months of training to get ready.
Our fantastic Dad & Grandad have volunteered themselves to get involved and will be following us in a van, helping with gear, breakdowns, and morale support along the way!
Despite the main part of this fundraiser being our cycle, we are also going to be hosting small events, and friends and family will be doing their own fundraisers to help us reach our goal of £4,000.
Whether you donate a little or a lot, every contribution brings us closer to helping those affected by myeloma, like Kasia, and supporting the vital work of Myeloma UK.
Thank you so much for reading and supporting us. Let’s make every mile count.
