Story
Everyone who has visited OSPA knows the yard could do with some sprucing up. The first step was taken in December last year when a school group helped us clear the yard from debris. Despite filling three truck loads with garbage, there’s more clearing to do and more money needed before we can start building.
I came to Sal and Santa Maria for a two-week holiday in 2022 and fell totally in love with the free roaming dogs, despite never having had a pet in my life. I have since been back for a total of three months volunteering at OSPA where sick and injured street dogs find refuge. And I’m coming back again this year. Once you’ve gotten to know all these beautiful souls you want the world for them.
So far, I have raised £650 but we need at least four times as much. The cost of living crisis has taken its toll on many households but every pound/euro/escudo helps us come closer to our goal. So, if you could spare the cost of a cup of coffee your generosity will directly impact the lives of these dogs and help create a better life for them.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
PS Blackie in the photo is now Solly and has a family of his own in Santa Maria, but I bet he wants to visit and try out the agility course once it has been built.
