Hello all,

I am not really keen on heights but somehow i've been talked into abseiling the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. I've been promised spectacular views and that I 'WILL' enjoy it.

I am going to use the opportunity to raise money for GAFIRS lifeboat station. It is the local independent emergency service, run entirely by volunteers. The station provides lifesaving cover across the Solent and Portsmouth Harbour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

GAFIRS also provides Water Safety Training to local schools and community groups/organisations.
